supply of supply, installation, calibration and training of digital triaxial shear apparatus suitable for u u, cu and cd tests, comprising: 1. motorised load frame ? capacity 50 kn with multi-rate strain control, su itable for triaxial cells up to 100 mm dia specimens. turret type geared drive with approx. 30 strain rates r anging from 6 mm/min to 0.00048 mm/min. front panel controls. operable on 220v, 50 hz, single phase su pply. 2. triaxial cell ? suitable for 38 mm dia ? 76 mm high specimens with lateral pressure up to 1000 kpa , having ports for cell pressure, pore pressure, top and bottom drainage and fitted with no-volume-change valves. complete with loading pad, porous stones, sheath stretcher, split sand former, latex membranes, s ealing rings and all standard accessories. additional triaxial cell for 50 mm dia specimen to be supplied. 3. pneumatic control panel (2-line type) with precision regulators for confining and back pressure control, cap acity approx. 10.5 kg/cm?, complete with mechanical volume change apparatus. 4. air compressor ? single stage, suitable up to 10 kg/cm? with receiver tank, on/off switch, pressure gauge and outlet valve, opera ble on 220v, 50 hz single phase supply. 5. de-airing system with vacuum arrangement comprising vacuu m regulator, 20 litre water chamber, vacuum gauge and additional vacuum line. vacuum pump flow approx . 75 l/min, vacuum up to 22 in hg (554 mm hg), pressure up to 40 psig. 6. electronic data acquisition syst em with touch panel operation for tare, start/stop, programming etc., independent channel taring, prog rammable data logging interval (10 sec to 1 hr), automatic data saving, storage of minimum 25 test sets wi th 200 data points each, sample id programming, date/time recording and online data transfer to computer through ethernet port. 7. sensors & instrumentation: i. load sensor ? 1000 kg capacity ii. pressure transdu cer ? 2000 kpa iii. lvdt stroke ?20 mm iv. linearity ?1%, repeatability ?0.1%, hysteresis ?0.5% v. excitati on: 2v rms, 2 khz sinusoidal vi. sensitivity: 1 mv/v/mm vii. operating temperature: 0?50?c 8. software for online data acquisition and offline triaxial analysis for uc, uu, cu, cu-bar and cd tests with manual/autom atic recording. software shall calculate dry density, moisture content, void ratio, saturation etc. and generat e consolidation, stress-strain, pore pressure, effective stress, p-q and related plots along with evaluation of t100, strain rate and shear parameters (c & f). 9. accessories & miscellaneous: i. sampling moulds for stan dard triaxial specimen sizes ii. sample preparation moulds iii. volume change gauge/burette iv. pressure in dicator/transmitter v. de-aired water apparatus vi. all interconnecting tubing, fittings and accessories vii. a ny other component required for complete operation. make: aimil / heico or similar better. the rate also inc ludes- a. supply and installation of the machine to geotechnical laboratory/construction, nf railway, malig aon, guwahati, pin-781011. b. necessary fixing of footing, bolts, grooving, concreting, water connection, bo lting & shifting of equipment to install and fix the apparatus inside geotechnical laboratory/con, nfr, malig aon, guwahati. c. 1st year calibration of the equipment as per nabl standard. d. first hand training of nf r ailway official on use of the equipment as per latest relevant code of railway/is standard at maligaon, guw ahati, pin-781011. e. supply of latest guidelines (rdso/iricen/is code etc.) related to the use of the equip ment.
