Southern Railway has invited bids for the doubling of track between turavur - mararikulam (tuvr - makm) section:- proposed earth work in formation, modification of lcs, provision of s&t accommodation and gate lodges, provision of cable ducts , side drains, retaining walls, construction of platforms, construction of fobs, protective works, proposed extension of minor bridges, between turavur (excluding) and cherthala (excluding) stations (km 24/000- km 32/100) (tuvr-srtl reach). The estimated project cost is ₹93.21 Cr, with an EMD of ₹1.86 Cr. Interested bidders can submit applications until 23 September 2026, with the technical opening scheduled for 23 September 2026.
