Nagar Palika Nigam has invited bids for the expression of interest for operation of 'garbage cafe' by korba municipal corporation (c.g.) from reputed hotels/self-help groups for the following works:- 1. work of operating 'garbage cafe' to make the city clean and declare the city 'plastic free' keeping in view various difficulties in the use of single-use plastic, for public awareness and promotion among common citizens. 2. individuals depositing plastic at the corporation's slrm center will be issued a token based on the weight of the plastic. this token can be used by the individual at the prescribed rate (rs. 20/- for breakfast and rs. 40/- for meals). 3. the corporation will identify and make available the site where the 'garbage cafe' will be operated. the use of the dining hall will be charged at market rates for persons other than the token holder. 4. a security deposit of rs. 2.50 lakh will be collected from the reputed hotel operator participating in the proposal and rs. 1.0 lakh from self-help groups. 5. proposals are invited for monthly rent for the operation of 'garbage cafe'.
