Dr Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth has invited bids for the tender for duties include working at the dairy farm, shivajinagar farm, and university farm (under the department of animal husbandry and dairy science, college of agriculture, dapoli) to perform tasks such as harvesting green fodder, stacking it, loading it onto tractor-trolleys, and unloading it at the fodder storage area or shed. responsibilities involve transporting dung from the sheds (housing cows, buffaloes, calves, and young buffaloes) to compost pits and washing the sheds; cleaning the sheds using disinfectants like phenyl; removing dung while milking is in progress; cleaning the paddocks adjacent to the sheds; cleaning the mangers, gutters, and roofs; and maintaining the cleanliness of the surrounding premises. additional duties include assisting in the medical treatment of injured or sick animals; transporting green fodder and silage to the mangers and paddocks for feeding; and ensuring animals are fed and watered at the appropriate times. work also entails assisting in the poultry unit and supporting student experiments; applying chemical fertilizers and water (as available) to fodder crops at the shivajinagar and dairy farm sites; and collecting raw materials (such as grass and agricultural waste) from various university farms to produce vermicompost and managing related tasks. clearing plots by cutting grass at the shivajinagar farm area; transporting grass and paddy from the university farm area; performing night watchman duties at the dairy farm area (including during watchmen's public or weekly off-days) and executing assigned tasks; repairing the pump at the dairy farm area; grazing and bringing back cattle from the university farm area daily; clearing brushwood and shrubs from the bunds at the shivajinagar and dairy farm areas; collecting, drying, and depositing mature cashew nuts from the orchard into the storehouse; maintaining watch over the cashew orchard; and performing other essential, incidental tasks as instructed from time to time by the head/dairy farm manager (animal husbandry and dairy science)..
