Indian Council Of Agricultural Research has invited bids for the custom bid for services - data analytics service; the service provider shall undertake high-quality de novo whole-genome sequencing and chromosome-level genome assembly of an insect species, taking into consideration its potentially large genome size, high repetitive content, heterozygosity/allelic variation, diploid nature, chromosome-number variation and possible microbial dna contamination, using short as well as long-read sequencing coupled with hi-c scaffolding, with sufficient sequencing depth and assembly curation to generate a highly contiguous, haplotype-resolved/appropriately purged, contamination-free chromosome-level reference genome.
