Southern Railway has invited bids for the doubling of track between alappuzha - ambalapuzha (allp - ampa) section: proposed earth work in formation, modification of lcs, provision of s&t accommodation and gate lodges, provision of cable ducts , side drains, retaining walls, construction of platforms, provision of platform shelters, protective works, proposed extension of minor bridges along with p way works at alappuzha yard (km 54/100-km 58/800). The estimated project cost is ₹62.86 Cr, with an EMD of ₹1.26 Cr. Interested bidders can submit applications until 30 September 2026, with the technical opening scheduled for 30 September 2026.
