Rural Works Department has invited bids for the expression of interest for engagement of individuals as state quality monitor. eligible candidates are degree civil engineering graduates, retired govt engineers (rank not below executive engineer/superintending engineer) from works department, organizations constructing/maintaining roads & bridges, central/psus, or eligible faculty/research personnel from engineering colleges, iits/nits/govt research institutes with relevant road/bridge experience. experience required: roads - minimum 5 years field experience in last 10 years before retirement, including 2 years in planning/design & execution during the last 5 years. bridges - minimum 8 years experience, including 4 years in execution. candidates can apply for roads, bridges, or both. requirements include physical fitness, computer/smartphone literacy, ethical soundness, and age below 67 years (engagement permitted up to 70 years). those retiring on/before 31.10.2026 may also apply. engagement is temporary for one year, extendable, with remuneration as per existing norms. approximately 8-10 days inspection per month may be required..
